Controls Engineered for Reliability and Scale.

From architecture to panel build to commissioning — we design and integrate the control systems that keep modern manufacturing running.

Precise Design. Clean Integration. Long-Term Performance.

Our control engineering team designs systems that don't just work on day one — they hold up under years of production load, are easy for your team to maintain, and integrate cleanly with the rest of your plant.

We work across PLC platforms, drive systems, and industrial networks to deliver controls architecture that matches the way your facility actually operates.

  • Control system architecture and design
  • UL-listed control panel design and build
  • Field wiring and I/O integration
  • Variable frequency drive (VFD) integration
  • Safety systems and E-stop architecture
  • Networking and industrial communication (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, Modbus)
  • Documentation, schematics, and as-builts
  • System commissioning and startup support

Our Process.

01

Discovery & Requirements

We walk your facility, understand the production goals, and map the control points, signals, and integrations required.

02

Design & Engineering

Detailed schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, and network architecture — engineered to your operating environment and codes.

03

Build & Integration

Panels are built to UL standards and integrated cleanly with your electrical and automation systems.

04

Commissioning & Support

We commission on-site, train your team, and stay engaged with maintenance and optimization long after go-live.

What Our Clients Say.

Apex designed the control system for our new line from scratch. Clean panel drawings, clean code, and commissioning went exactly to plan.
Rachel K.
Engineering Manager, Pharmaceutical Manufacturer
Their controls engineers actually walked the floor with our operators before designing anything. The result is a system the team will keep using.
Tom B.
Operations Director, Building Products
We had a tangle of legacy relay logic. Apex turned it into a documented, supportable control system we can actually maintain.
Priya S.
Plant Engineer, Food Processor

Frequently Asked Questions.

What does a typical controls engineering project look like?

We start with a discovery call and site walk, then produce a functional spec, electrical drawings, and a fixed-scope quote. From there we handle panel build, programming, on-site commissioning, and operator training.

Can you integrate with our existing PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA?

Yes. We work across Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, and most major HMI/SCADA platforms, and we routinely integrate new equipment into existing brownfield systems.

Do you provide documentation we can actually use later?

Always. Every project ships with as-built electrical drawings, commented code, an I/O list, a functional description, and operator documentation — owned by you.

Will you support the system after commissioning?

Yes. We offer remote support, on-call response, and scheduled health checks so your control system keeps performing long after handoff.

How do you handle safety and compliance?

All designs follow UL 508A panel standards, NFPA 79, and applicable safety standards (e.g. ISO 13849 / IEC 62061) for safety-rated functions. We document risk assessments where required.
